Recently, Jelly Belly released their Peter Rabbit Deluxe Easter Mix that was stamped as "Gluten-Free". However, according to the California Department of Public Health, Jelly Belly has put into effect a nationwide recall of this product because the malt milk eggs contain wheat. The Wisconsin State Journal published an article (see subtitle "Grains Explained") indicating that Spelt berries are gluten free. SPELT is wheat and IS NOT SAFE to eat for people with Celiac Disease or gluten intolerance. February 17, 2012
