Sugar Cookies

Mix together:

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar

Mix in:

1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Sift together and stir in:

2 3/4 cups Sorghum Flour Blend
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon xanthan gum

Cover bowl and chill for about an hour until dough is easy to handle. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured board or counter top (can use rice flour). Cut with biscuit or cookie cutters. Bake at 350 degrees F for 6 to 8 minutes.
