Cranberry Chutney

4 cups fresh cranberries
1 cup water
1 cup raisins
2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon salt

Mix well and cook over moderate heat until mixture starts to thicken (about 20 minutes).

1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 20-ounce can pineapple tidbits drained

Stir in onion and pineapple. Continue cooking over moderate heat (20 to 25 min) until mixture is as thick as desired.
