Tamale Balls

Tamale Balls:
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
1/2 cup sorghum flour
1 teaspoon garlic puree
3/4 cup tomato juice
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons salt

Combine beef and pork; add remaining ingredients. Mix well (it will be dry). Roll into 1-inch balls. Brown in skillet.

Sauce:
2 29-ounce cans diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Mix sauce ingredient together in 5-quart dutch oven. Simmer 10 minutes. Add the tamale balls and simmer until cooked through, about 20 to 30 minutes. If sauce is too tart, add 1 or 2 teaspoons sugar.
